Manufacturing process and advantages
One end of the Diamond gauging fingers alloy body is provided with a fixed hole, and the other end is inlaid with diamond particles, diamond particles protruding 0.1-0.3mm of the alloy body. The difference in the dimension and shape of the fingers depends upon the type of grinding machine and the size to be measured. Usually, a steel plate is used to weld diamond into the alloy body, but when the size of the diamond gauging fingers is relatively small, due to the steel plate welding, the temperature is higher than 1000 °C, it will cause local high temperature, resulting in the melting deformation of the gauging fingers alloy body end. There is a silver layer between the diamond and the alloy body. When the silver brazing between the diamond and the alloy body is used, the welding can be done at a temperature of 700°C, which will not lead to the melting deformation of the end of the gauging fingers alloy body and it can improve the measuring.
The major application of the diamond fingers is in bearing industries for bearing caps, internal diameter, outer diameter, and ball races measuring. Diamond gauging points are used in automobile industries for crankshafts, camshafts, gearshifts, pins, and others for outer measurement.
