The difference between diamond honing reamer and general PCD reamer

1. USAGE

Diamond honing reamer is mainly grinding, while general PCD reamer is mainly cutting.

2. MACHINE

Diamond honing reamer is used in honing machine, while general PCD reamer is used in CNC machining center.

3. DETAIL

The outer circle of diamond honing reamer is coated with a layer of diamond abrasive, and the sharp corners exposed by these abrasive grains are used to grind the hole wall. General PCD reamer has one or more tool teeth, which is used to remove the thin layer of metal on the surface of the processed hole, and the hole wall is scraped with the cutting edge.

4. SPECIFICATION

Diamond honing reamer is adjustable, and the outer diameter of the reamer can be increased during processing, while general PCD reamer cannot adjust the fixed outer diameter size.

5. APPLICATION
